Gifts that give back.

There's nothing better than buying a gift, that also does good with your purchase. Here are a few awesome brands who do AMAZING things for humanity.

One// Wakami Accessory products work along rural communities to produce a range of fashion products. The Wakami Village Program,  assists Guatamalan artisans to help them become self-sustaining and independent, by enrolling them in two year business training programs to teach them valuable skills. These are the perfect accessory for any look, but my personal faves are the more bohemian styles (as pictured).

Two//  You and Who T-shirts are an amazing brand that not only creates amazing T-shirts but then donates a matching shirt to someone in need, from the city of the artist that created the shirt. This is not only a great opportunity for the company to do well, but also for the artist to receive extra notoriety from the community.

Three//Kutoa health bars, matches every purchase by donating a nutrition pack in partnership with World Food Program,  to a child suffering from Malnutrition. Feeding the hungry while you are feeding yourself is a great thing.

Four//Wink Bags (When In Need of Kindness) sells stylish toiletry bags filled with luxury products from Soap & Paper Company. When you buy a WINK bag, one filled with important basic toiletries is donated to Ronald McDonald House family rooms across the United States. Also a portion of the proceeds are donated to the C.L.A.Y. foundation which trains CPR, AED and swim lessons. Did I mention that they are super cute too?

Five// Smiles for the People is a totally rad toothbrush made of biodegradable bamboo. The really cool part though is that for every toothbrush purchased, Smiles for the People will donate a cash equivalent of one toothbrush to their partner dental companies who work in low income areas to provide custom dental care that fits their regional needs.

There you have it, FIVE amazing gifts that you can really feel great about giving. 'Tis the season for love and there's no better way to show it than helping others. So lend a hand this holiday, and I will too.
