Oh this blog.
I have neglected thee these past two weeks.
I'm not sure why, but sometimes I get so busy with life, that I forget that my little writing outlet even exists.
I know, how mom-like right? Thinking of all my other responsibilities and forgetting my own little vent spot.
Please don't think of me as a mom saint or anything, because honestly my lack of writing these last two weeks came from my love/hate relationship with this blog.
I mean, 99.9% of the time I love my little corner of the cyberverse.
but that .1% gets me, and when it gets me it really gets me. It sneaks up on me like a shadow creature and engulfs me into a funk. A blogger funk. My life is so busy, it almost becomes a feeling as though I can't imagine squeezing anything else into my crazy life...even blogging.
Have you ever felt like that? You know, the feeling that if one more person asks me to do something for them, I'll just punch a wall feeling? If this blog even beckons me one more time I'll throw this computer out the window of a moving bus...type of week?
What can I say...I'm human. And humans are completely irrational and occasionally yern for solitude.
But like the flippity human I am, I come crawling back to the good ole' Random Blog Drama.
Because I'm a sucker for witty metaphors and any opportunity to commiserate with other work at home moms.
It's great to be back.
But hey while I was gone...
I was NOMINATED for an Apartment Therapy Homie award (for best family and kids blog). I had NO idea and when I went on to vote for one of my favorite blogs, but while scrolling I found my name! Lill ole' me! Who would've thought! Someone other than my mother actually reads this.
Whoever nominated me I thank you a TON! Even though I only had two measly votes, that still meant that TWO WHOLE PEOPLE thought I was the bees knees and for that I thank you.
So enough of my giggly teenage girl ramblings.
here are some of my Valentine's Decor pics (a few days late) just because no matter how cray cray your life may be, paper hearts totally fix everything.
I know what you're thinking.
Yes we have three couches (okay two couches and a love seat) in our living room. It's long and skinny and totally unnecessary for the few amount of derrieres that we have to actually sit on them. For parties it's great, and if you like choices, then it works out perfectly. Oblong rooms are tough to decorate.
Just like I always say, when in doubt...couch.
Put that on a bumper sticker. Why don'tcha.
